Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Signs… that you may believe.
I took a break during from a kayaking excursion in Florida yesterday, stopping at a dock to see if I had any urgent messages. I did not pull the kayak far enough out of the water, and a rising tide dislodged the boat. My heart sank when I heard the splash and watched the kayak drift beyond my reach. I prayed a desparate for help, and was soon comforted as I watched the kayak stop moving away, and start moving back toward the dock. The dock was in an eddy next to a cut between the bay and the ocean, and even though the tide and wind were coming in, the eddy brought the kayak back to me.
The two mile trek back to home base gave me 45 minutes to reflect on God’s saving grace. God is good… all the time!
Sop the thing that I am currently wrestling with is this: is life now or later?
